Our Directors

Clive Weir, Managing Director

I celebrate 40 years in the paper trade next year having joined Spicer Cowan Liverpool as a trainee in September 1977 and being told the paperless office had arrived! I am married to Lindsay who works for Lloyds Bank and have a son Nick who is studying dentistry at Manchester. I enjoy playing golf very badly and am an armchair supporter of Everton.

Mark Haworth, Sales Director

As Sales Director at Paper4Print I am responsible for the sales department, I help the company make a profit! As well as liaising with suppliers, I take a strategic look at the business and steer it in the right direction in an ever-competitive industry. I have responsibility for my own “patch”, but I am also involved lots of other projects to make sure P4P we always stay ahead of the game.

In an ever-evolving industry, and one which is becoming ever more pressured, it is a pleasure to work for a company which strives to give the best for its customers. The people in the print industry are great to work with and working for an independent operator means we are not tied in to the corporate world as much as some businesses.

Away from the office (and my car) I am married with two sons, one at university and one at nursery! A keen sportsman, I am a member of Wilpshire Golf Club and a supporter of the mighty Blackburn Rovers and away from the fairways and Ewood Park I like to relax further with good music, the odd pint while keeping an eye on my winery and brewery. Cheers!

Roger Ince, Director

In my duties as a Branch Director I get the opportunity to get involved in most sides of the business including, management, internal sales, purchasing, human resources, warehouse and distribution. This means daily communications with many different people from colleagues through to customers and suppliers. Not being shackled by red tape means we can all contribute to the running of the business and make the decisions we feel necessary for making the company a success.

The paper industry is a challenging one to be successful in and it presents daily challenges but the beauty of P4P is that we all pull together with our departmental responsibilities for the greater good of the business. We wouldn’t be anywhere without our customers and the people are the lifeblood of this business.

Married to my better half, Cheryl, we have two sons, George and James who keep us on our toes! I am a season ticket holder at Wigan Rugby League and a supporter of Manchester City Football. I spend my leisure time watching my children play tennis and cricket or walking the dogs. Where possible a weekend dog walk usually ends in a visit to a public house to enjoy a pint of real ale.

Chris Pellow, Director

A sharp-shooter in an industry he has been involved in for over 40 years, Chris has lots of strings to his bow (and not just his love of archery either). As company secretary it is Chris’ job to steer a course through the legal requirements for Paper4Print and manage the businesses relationship with the bank, dealing with suppliers and making sure everyone is kept happy. The paper industry maybe completely different than it was 40 years ago but Chris has kept his finger on the pulse in an ever-changing marketplace. There’s never a dull moment for this keen off-road cyclist and budding chef whose skills with a bow and arrow have made sure he’s always ahead of the game.

Chris Thomas, Director

I’m the “go-to” director. Everything from salesman to fork-left driver and everything in between, it’s fair to say I like to get stuck in with the business! I believe that in a challenging industry such as ours you have to be good at everything, which is what I try to be. Enthusiasm for the job drives me forward to achieve great things for Paper4Print and it’s why I have been in the business for over 40 years.

This industry is a tough one to be in and this is something we always have to have at the forefront of our minds. There’s always a rival company out there, wanting to take business off you which is why I strive to get the best deal for our many customers.

I’m an avid sport watcher as age has finally curtailed active participation particularly football, cricket, horse racing and according to my wife every sporting event known to man. Like brewing beer, then tasting it, and I think I am a wizard in the kitchen!

Sean Kinney, Director

With over 30 years’ experience in the paper industry I have seen a few changes in the way technology has taken over and this is something we have always tried to embrace at Paper4Print. There is still a very personable environment though as technology hasn’t completely taken over as people and businesses will always need paper!

Like the other directors, I share responsibility for the strategy and direction of the company and assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies and growth. I also have responsibility for the development of new and existing accounts both internally and externally.

Off paper I have three children who have all flown the nest, leaving me time to enjoy lots of outdoor activities including hill walking, running five and 10ks, sailing, dog walking and anything which involves going outside. I’m a real ale fan and enjoy an active social life which involves my other passion, live music.
